Snow Day!

Today was a massive bust! Early release from school at 11:30 and the snow didn't start until 7? It's already stopped! They've cancelled school tomorrow so it's a no snow snow day! I hope I'm shocked in the morning and we have enough to play in! They boys will be SO excited!

All had been going well! Major milestone for Wilson today - he said HOP. His speech therapist had been working so hard on it with him. Bunny Hop is always said Bunny POP. I've worked all week with him - and finally today in the waiting room of speech therapy he said it! HOP! Great day! He was SO proud of himself! He is doing great with his speech I'm SO proud!

Terry is doing well in school - everything is a fight with him right now unless it's "play time" makes it super fun for MOM! I love him but he is WAY too much like me!

Our Puppy Phoebe is doing great. She is fantastic and loves us. :)

Happy New Year!

It's been forever since I posted - pre "the accident" even! Seems like a different life ago so much has changed and time has marched right on. Almost 2 years ago - seems impossible and correct at the same time.

Currently I have a seven year old who won't stay asleep - back to school next week is going to be a shock to his system! Lol! I'm laying down with him until he is asleep. Just hoping the cat isn't on my side of the bed when I get back to it. What better time to catch up on my blog!

It is one of my New Years resolutions to keep up with this blog. It seems to me life is better written down - and Facebook is fun but I don't need every person I went to high school with seeing my daily rambles! In fact I'm good if no one sees them. 😉

So my New Years resolutions: (if it's written down your 67% more likely to do it.)
1. Healthier lifestyle - continue baby steps to living healthy
2. Exercise more - find air pump to pump tires on bike it's in that garage!!
3. Get organized! Finally turn the computer room in to a playroom.
4. Have the time of my life on the NKOTB cruise.
5. Hug Jon Knight.
6. Lose 20lbs before cruise.
7. Weekend away with husband
8. Take my kids to Disney
9. Commit to letting go of negative people. Only invest my time in those that are invested in me and my family.
10. Plan 12 family fun events.
11. Be the best employee I can be M-F 8-430.
12. Get one compliment from that boss at work that doesn't give compliments.
13. Figure out Wilson's eating patterns.
14. Love everyone more.

14 see for 2014! Woot! Been a lot of years since we had a 4 year. 4 is my number see. This is going to be a great year!

May the ups outweigh the downs for us all!!!

When it rains it pours?

What a month we've had. It's times like these that writing is my outlet -- maybe that means I'll get in the habit of updating my blog? Maybe to the point that I'd actually tell people about it?

Probably not. ;)

In the last month... We ALL got the stomach bug that ruined our Christmas, we ended up having family redo Christmases too soon and gave my Dad, my Mother-in-law, Sister-in-law and Brother-in-law all the stomach bug. (Sharing is caring????) Then Wilson got an ear infection, a BAD one, that made us go to the doctor on a Sunday. Then the television in the master bedroom went out. Thats just awesome 2 weeks after Christmas. It will work one day, then not for 2-3 days. Since my super handy hubby mounted in IN the wall 25 feet in the air we can't exactly look at it and wiggle the wires. SIGH... so family trip to best buy is inorder let me grab my visa gift cards and off we go. Lets eat at Chickfila first -- Oh no its raining... kick purse under seat and grab a kid and run in. Come back out 15 minutes later to find a broken window and no purse. CRAP! There goes our night and my nice visa gift card and the $140 cash I had for the tv. SIGH. Ok lets move on. It happened it sucks - it was my fault -- however in 15 years that hasn't happened even the police were shocked and didn't scold me on how stupid it was. They couldn't believe someone would be THAT bold in that parking lot. Moving on... Terry and Steven play fighting me screaming "Stop before someone gets hurt!!" Then someone gets hurt. $50 copay to take Steven to the knee specialist to find out its bruised very badly and he needs to stay off of it.

Awesome month right?

Doesn't matter. I'm NOT going to loose my positive attitude. I'm NOT. I refuse. No one died. No one has cancer. Our house didn't burn down. The same night my purse was stolen a 17 year old died down the road in a car accident. 3 others in the same car were all in serious condition. Those moms are having a MUCH worse night than me. Whats a couple hundred dollars and HOURS of pain in the rear credit card cancellations dmv dealings compared to a lifetime altered by a car accident? Sure the realization that Wilson is getting his 2 year molars made me faulter a little but ok that means a lot of sleepless nights and a grumpy baby -- but atleast I've got my baby and he is healthy and growing. Your not gonna knock me down world. Your just not. But PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stop trying? Just for a bit? I'm scared to walk outside for fear of a random stoplight falling on my head - I mean really am I making thse stuff up? Is it just karma getting me back for how fantastic my kids are?  Really universe I get it. You can knock me down when I LEAST expect it. I DO appreciate you not knocking me so far down that I can't ever get back up again but really I'm hanging on by a thread now. Can we just have a break? For a bit? That'd be nice. Really nice of you.

Halloween 2010 Cops and Dragons!

So this Halloween Terry wanted to be a gorilla – not a monkey – a gorilla. (Thanks Uncle Johnny! Over a year later and the scared fascination with gorillas is still going strong!) Well I couldn’t find a gorilla costume but I did happen to be in Marshalls with Terry the moment they rolled the costumes out – he immediately grabbed a policeman costume and was decided. Mom was with me and we decided Eric would be a fantastic cop as well! So then the hunt was on for a baby inmate costume- I didn’t find one.. So I let Steven pick Wilson’s first Halloween outfit – and that is how my night was filled with Cops and Dragons! They were both so adorable! Terry LOVED it! I got him some sunglasses and a fake badge and gun and he said to me “Don’t you worry Mommy I’m going to get ALL the bad guys in jail!” He took it so seriously! We had a great night trick or treating in my parents neighborhood – it was special to take my boys trick or treating at the same houses I trick or treated at so many years ago. Of course Terry gave out LONG before I ever did though!

More beach pictures!

Day 1 of Fun in the Sun!

Since its his first beach trip its only fair I turn the keyboard over to Wilson for him to tell you all about our day!

Mommy and Daddy wanted to wake up early to walk on the beach – some storm came through last night and they just knew there’d be alot of shells – but I decided they deserved a break so we slept til 930! We got breakfast right downstairs after we got off that box that whizzes you up and down. Mommy REALLY enjoyed the coffee – and how the nice man kept bringing it to her. Even big brother loved the waffles – but really loved the sticky brown stuff he kept trying to get Mommy to give him more of. She wouldn’t.

After they ate I got to eat and then I got sleepy so me and Daddy took a nap and Mommy got Terry outside near all that water to play. When Daddy and I found them Mommy had built Terry a BOAT out of sand! It was SO cool. I fell right asleep once I got in it!

After we were done on the beach we went to the pool bar and had a great lunch… well they did… Mommy and Daddy even had some nice fancy colored drinks!

Then it was off to the pool for more swimming! After that was naptime and get ready for dinner time! We went out to dinner and had ice cream on the way back to our room!!

A great day!
